Weaving together these profiles and stories from all across the US, the audience witnesses what it means to serve in both peace time and at war. Over a dozen notable filmmakers joined Director John Goheen in this non-profit documentary, premiering in May 2012.

John C.P Goheen, a three-time winner of NPPA's Ernie Crisp Television News Photographer of the Year title and former KOMO TV News photographer, isan independent filmmaker and instructor at Loyola University.

The Mission

The goal of the documentary is to provide a way for living veterans and the families of fallen veterans to speak about things they generally prefer to keep to themselves, and to provoke the kind of thought and reflection that Veteran's Day is all about. With this in mind, we hope for as many people as possible to see the film. The film is being offered for free to any veterans' organization across the country who wishes to host a screening or use it for educational purposes. In addition to nationwide screenings, we are also submitting the project to film festivals, partnering with public television stations and keeping the public informed of our progress.
