Seattle Central College gathered the community to experience Roots, Rain & Rhythm (1985–1995): The Sound of Black Seattle, an immersive gallery opening at the M. Rosetta Hunter Art Gallery. The exhibition honors a pivotal decade in Black Seattle’s cultural history—when music, place, and movement converged to shape the city’s creative identity. 

The exhibition's Opening Night Celebration happened Thursday, February 12, 2026, beginning at 5:30pm, at M. Rosetta Hunter Art Gallery, Seattle Central College.
