Several years ago, SCCtv's own Phil Sturholm was honored at an event celebrating the Legends of Broadcasting. Phil, along with Chris Wedes (JP Patches) and KING Broadcasting's Ancil Payne, share a lively discussion about local television.
In April 2001, the Northwest chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences brought together three legends of northwest broadcasting. Phil Sturholm, chief photographer at both KING and KIRO television and founding member of SCCtv, joined Ancil Payne, former head of KING Broadcasting and Chris Wedes, aka JP Patches, for a lively, funny and frank discussion about television. The event is hosted by yet another legend, Bill Brubaker of KOMO Television.
With the recent passing of Chris Wedes, we thought you might find this gathering of legends interesting.
