Welcome 2010!  And to the winter season.  We've put together some resources to help you get through.

We at SCCtv hope you were able to enjoy the holidays.

Along with the new year often comes the challenges of making it through the long winter.

Check out this resource Web site created by the Regional Public Information Network, a one-stop resource for news alerts from more than 75 government, utility, health and first-responder agencies serving citizens in King, Pierce and Snohomish counties.

Going skiing?  Destination 360 offers information about Washington State's ski areas and more.

Making it through these dark winter days can be tough for some.  One study says it is seven times more likely that people in Washington State are affected by Season Affective Disorder, or SAD, than people in sunny climates, like Florida.  What is SAD and what can you do to combat its affects?  Check out the Swedish Medical Center Web page on SAD.

Of course, traveling can be a challenge in the winter.  Checking out the traffic issues before you go may help you decide how you'll go or if you'll go.  Visit the Washington State DOT's Web page for all kinds of information, traffic maps and cameras to help you with your travels.

We'll add more resources as we think of them.  In the mean time, have a safe winter and thank you for watching SCCtv!
