Only one person in the country receives the National Edward
R. Murrow Award for Writing each year. We're proud to say this year the honor
goes to SCCtv General Manager John Sharify.
He received the coveted award Monday evening, October 13, in a ceremony
at the Grand Hyatt in N.Y.C. This is a three-peat for John, who was honored as
the top broadcast news writer in the country last year as well, and in 2004.
John is a 119 time Emmy nominated broadcaster who has been honored with
31 Emmys.
